Bribery Act comes into force

The Bribery Act became law from 1 July, making it an offence to offer or solicit bribes in any part of the world.  This is good news for any business that wants to act ethically and responsibly as it makes it harder for an unscrupulous competitor to gain an advantage.  The Government has been at pains to point out that businesses won't be prosecuted for trivial offences and that normal entertainment doesn't count as bribery.  So feel free to invite me to the football, rugby or Olympics!
